Dovetail features can't be cut from above. The 931i2436C is a solid carbide dovetail mill for workholding slots, T-slot prep, and undercut profiles where the included angle and a corner radius at the dovetail root are both required.

The corner radius reduces stress concentration at the root of the dovetail profile, which matters in fatigue-sensitive workholding applications.
The R0.01" radius also strengthens the cutting edge compared to sharp corner geometries, extending tool life in interrupted cuts.
TiB₂ coating adds wear resistance without building up edge thickness like thicker coatings can.
This keeps the corner radius true to size while extending cutting performance in steel, aluminum, and most machinable metals.
Three flutes balance chip evacuation with rigidity on the narrow 0.1575" neck diameter.
