Dovetail features can't be cut from above. The 931i3212B is a solid carbide dovetail mill for workholding slots, T-slot prep, and undercut profiles where the included angle and a corner radius at the dovetail root are both required.

The 30-degree included angle with R0.01" corner radius reduces stress concentration at the root of the dovetail profile, which matters in fatigue-sensitive workholding applications.
Three flutes balance surface finish with chip evacuation in the confined cutting geometry.
The 0.315" neck diameter provides clearance while maintaining rigidity for the 0.5" cutting diameter.
AlTiN coating extends tool life in steel applications where heat generation becomes problematic in the restricted cutting zone.
Works in aluminum and most machinable metals where dovetail geometry is required.
