Undercut profiles don't yield to conventional ball nose geometry. Standard tools can't physically reach beyond 180 degrees of contact.

The 960i3216C extends ball contact to 270 degrees, creating access to internal radius features and undercut geometries that would otherwise require multiple setups or specialized fixturing.
Four flutes distribute cutting loads while maintaining rigidity at the 0.323" neck diameter.
TiB₂ coating handles the thermal cycling common in steel and aluminum applications where interrupted cuts and varying engagement create temperature spikes.
The coating maintains edge sharpness longer in these conditions, particularly relevant when cutting undercuts where tool path direction changes frequently.
Half-inch cutting diameter provides good surface finish capability while the extended geometry reaches areas standard ball nose end mills cannot touch.
