Tool 910i2006C
The 910i2006C is a 5/16" chamfer mill from the 910 Series, for chamfering and deburring in aluminum. This version has 3 flutes and a 15° angle per side, which makes 30° included.
- The tool's geometry sets the angle, so every chamfer comes out at the same angle in a single pass, and your Z depth sets the width.
- The 0.025" tip has a dished end with its own cutting teeth, so you can blend a bottom cut as you chamfer.
- Besides chamfering and deburring, you can take light slotting passes, which leave a V-shaped slot with a 0.025" flat at the bottom.
- You clamp a 5/16" shank that Sonic grinds to h6 for precision tool holders and leaves unpolished to help it resist slipping.
- TiB2 resists aluminum sticking to the edge, so you can run higher speeds and feeds than with an uncoated tool.
- For steel, the 910i2006B is the same tool in AlTiN.
