920 Series

Tool 920i1218B

The 920i1218B is a 3/16", 45° double angle cutter from the 920 Series, for V-grooves and angular forms in steel. This version has 4 flutes.

The 45° is the included angle: 22.5° on each side of the cutter.
If your print gives the angle across the V, order that number. If it gives one face from the centerline, double it.
The two equal angles give you a symmetric profile in a single pass.
Behind the head, the neck steps down to 0.0938" for longer reach.
You clamp a 3/16" shank that Sonic grinds to h6 for precision tool holders and leaves unpolished to help it resist slipping.
The AlTiN coating handles high temperatures and cuts down wear.
For aluminum, the 920i1218C is the same tool in TiB2.
