Tool 920i1218C

The 920i1218C is a 3/16", 45° double angle cutter from the 920 Series, for V-grooves and angular forms in aluminum. This version has 4 flutes.

The 45° is the included angle: 22.5° on each side of the cutter.
If your print gives the angle across the V, order that number. If it gives one face from the centerline, double it.
The two equal angles give you a symmetric profile in a single pass.
Behind the head, the neck steps down to 0.0938" for longer reach.
You clamp a 3/16" shank that Sonic grinds to h6 for precision tool holders and leaves unpolished to help it resist slipping.
TiB2 resists aluminum sticking to the edge, so you can run higher speeds and feeds than with an uncoated tool.
