Tool 960i3232B

The 960i3232B is a 1/2", 270° spherical cutter from the 960 Series, for undercut pockets and spherical retention features in steel. This version has 4 flutes.

The 270° ball wraps 45° past its equator, so you can cut a spherical undercut from above.
Sonic grinds the radius form to 0.0003" accuracy.
The teeth cut to center, so you can blend the bottom of the cut.
The 961i3232B is the same diameter with a 300° ball.
You clamp a 1/2" shank that Sonic grinds to h6 for precision tool holders and leaves unpolished to help it resist slipping.
The AlTiN coating handles high temperatures and cuts down wear.
For aluminum, the 960i3232C is the same tool in TiB2.
